Last night , I managed to connect the CI-V interface to a digi box. This Little wonder was more than a year unused but I think it will be used the next period. Main task wil be the connection between Ham Radio de Luxe (logbook and Mapper).
I also have plans to do more with CW.!

New ICOM 746PRO !
Ok not new but it looks brand new.... Yesterday I bought a ICOM 746PRO . A lot of information on the web about broken display/backlight and problems with the PA driver but with a very good value for money ratio !
So I decided to give it a change. First impressions are very fine. Nice sound not to complicated to operate but time will see....
At the moment not a power supply wich can load 25A ( just 15A) .
50Watt output in use now.
Next step is building a computer interface.

Back to the radio again!
After playing a few months with the Arduino I think it is time to put power on the K2.
The 20m dipole was in a very bad condition and a replacement seems the only way to get on the air!
Last saterday the weather was fine so new wires and a balun where fitted to the pole.
Lates version of Radio Ham de Luxe installed on the XP laptop and the first SSTV contact was made.
So it seems 20m is working again !
Antenne direction is now east, most stations heard are in the south east of europe. Next step is to build a fowlded dipole on the south west part of the roof to get usa signals if possible.
For summer holiday with the camper I was thinking about a screwdriver antenne, and decided to make one myself. In this blog I will give a day to day progression report !
